Ever since I was six years old I've wanted to be an NBA basketball player. I had visions of dunking, blocking, scoring, and having Marv Albert and Charles Barkley say my name like I was one of the greats. That was where I was headed. There was only one problem for me. My game was sputtering. After scoring one point during my first KAC season, age 10, I brought my production up to four points during my second year. The league can be tough on rookies, but I was making my way up. Then I hit a rough patch in year three, not scoring a single point all season. I had a problem, and I needed to fix it.
I knew that those Air Jordans were my answer from the moment I saw them. From the laces to the synthetic leather finish, they looked as though they were sculpted by the gods. I slipped them on and I could feel the power surging through me. As I emerged from the locker rooms of the Kaimuki Rec Center for my next game, it seemed everyone was looking at me. They were pointing and speaking in hushed whispers at my perfect shoes. I could see the other team breaking out in a collective cold sweat and I knew my time had come. From the starting whistle to the very end of the game, I dominated.
After I shook hands with my opponents after the game like the gentleman I am, I turned and saw Wilt Chamberlain, Elgin Baylor, and a tall black man I didn't recognize, although I assume he was an awesome basketball player too. They looked me in the eye and said "Nick, you're time has just begun. Become who you were born to be."
I have only begun my journey towards basketball greatness. It's time for you to embark on your own quest. Air Jordans are the answer. They can get you there*.

That was an great post nick. What you wrote about is something I believe is a great thing in life. By knowing where you want to be in life you can realize that although you may not be getting there, you can improve and work towards your goal. If I applied that more often in my life I think that i would get a lot more done.
I am assuming this is your persuasive essay...are there any facts as to why this shoe is better for me than an addidas jogging shoe? Who is your target audience with this story?
